Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics is in existence since the establishment of the college in 1961. Basically this college was an evening shift of commerce department of the campus of erstwhile City College. In 1961, the evening shift became an independent college to cater to the demands of the students of locality of that time. This department is proud to have the services of the renowned mathematician as faculty members (either in full-time or part-time capacity). The department has one UGC whole-time post which is lying vacant since 2017. The department is currently run by five part-time teachers. The department offers courses on mathematics covered under the B.Com (Honors and General) syllabus.
